Aviation-Event will return to Abuja, Nigeria, for the ACI Africa 2026 Annual General Assembly, Regional Conference and Exhibition as accredited media for the fourth consecutive year, continuing its longstanding media engagement with ACI Africa.

Taking place from 19–25 September 2026, the programme will bring together the African airport community for the 35th Annual General Assembly, 76th Board and Committees Meetings, Regional Conference and Exhibition. The event will be hosted in Abuja by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Next-Gen Airports: Driving Performance and Resilience

The 2026 conference will take place under the theme “Next-Gen Airports: Driving Performance and Resilience,” focusing on how African airports can strengthen performance while building greater resilience to disruption.

The programme will address areas including commercial sustainability, governance, operational efficiency, customer experience, connectivity and digital transformation, alongside discussions on sustainability and the future development of African airports.

The week-long programme will combine high-level governance meetings, conference sessions, networking, business meetings and an exhibition showcasing technologies and solutions for the airport industry.

Aviation-Event’s Continued Coverage of African Aviation

Returning as accredited media for the fourth consecutive year, Aviation-Event will report from Abuja on key discussions, industry developments, announcements and innovations emerging from the conference, connecting its international audience with airport leaders, policymakers, regulators, aviation experts and industry partners from across Africa and beyond.

The continued presence at ACI Africa’s annual gathering reflects Aviation-Event’s longstanding engagement with the African aviation and airport community and its commitment to covering developments shaping the continent’s aviation sector.

The 2026 edition also comes at an important time for Nigeria’s aviation industry. At the conclusion of the previous ACI Africa Regional Conference and Exhibition in Luanda, Nigeria was highlighted as Africa’s second-largest domestic aviation market, with more than 10.5 million domestic passengers recorded in 2025. Nigeria was also formally announced as host of the 2026 gathering in Abuja.

Marcel Riwalsky, Founder & CEO, Aviation-Event: “Africa’s aviation sector continues to present significant opportunities alongside important challenges, and ACI Africa’s annual gathering provides an important platform for the industry to exchange perspectives and shape the way forward. We are pleased to return to Abuja for the fourth consecutive year as accredited media and to bring the key conversations and developments from the conference to the wider Aviation-Event community.”

Aviation-Event looks forward to being in Abuja from 19–25 September 2026 and to reporting on the conversations, developments and opportunities shaping the next generation of African airports.
