Air Serbia will launch a new direct service between Chişinău and Belgrade on 3 June 2027, creating a new connection between the capitals of Moldova and Serbia.
The route will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays using ATR 72-600 aircraft, according to information from Eugen Doga International Airport–Chişinău. Air Serbia’s own 2027 network announcement also lists Chişinău among its new destinations from Belgrade.
The service will give passengers a direct link between Moldova and Serbia while also providing onward connections through Belgrade to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia. The route is planned to begin at the start of the northern summer 2027 season and will not operate during the current winter schedule.
The new flights will provide additional options for Moldovan travellers visiting Serbia and for Serbian visitors travelling to Chişinău. They could also support short breaks, visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic and connecting journeys through Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
The announcement comes as Chişinău continues to expand its international network. For Air Serbia, the route forms part of its wider 2027 expansion programme, which also includes new services to destinations including Menorca, Cluj and Helsinki.
Neither Air Serbia nor the airport authority released a passenger forecast or specific tourism target for the route. However, the four-weekly schedule gives the service more capacity than a limited seasonal operation and should provide useful flexibility for both leisure and business travellers.
Air Serbia, Serbia’s national airline, will mark the centenary of the beginnings of its aviation tradition in 2027. The airline was founded on the legacy of Aeroput, established in 1927.
