Pegasus Airlines is preparing to launch scheduled flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to three Uzbek cities: Bukhara, Andijan and Termez.
The first service, to Bukhara, is scheduled to begin on 14 December 2026, operating three times a week. Flights to Andijan are planned to start on 18 December, with two weekly services, while the Termez route is scheduled to launch on 1 March 2027, also operating three times a week. [Route details]
The routes were agreed as part of cooperation between Pegasus and Uzbekistan Airports. The airline has received authorisation to operate passenger services in Uzbekistan, and tickets for the three routes have been made available through its booking system. [UzDaily report]
The expansion will give travellers in Uzbekistan’s regional cities direct access to Pegasus’ Istanbul hub and potential onward connections across Europe, the Middle East and other markets served by the airline. Connections will depend on the published schedule, ticket availability and the passenger’s fare conditions.
For Andijan, the launch would represent the first regular direct air service between the city and Istanbul. Bukhara and Termez already have Istanbul connections from other carriers, meaning Pegasus’ arrival will add competition and further choice rather than create the first link.
The airline plans to operate the routes with Airbus A320-family aircraft. Discussions are also continuing over possible future services from Istanbul to Karshi and Nukus, but those routes have not yet been confirmed.
The new flights could support Uzbekistan’s strategy of distributing international tourism beyond Tashkent. Bukhara is a major Silk Road destination, while Andijan provides access to the Fergana Valley and Termez is an important historic city in the country’s south.
All dates and frequencies remain planned schedules and may be altered before launch.
